Dori Drenth
Kindergarten - 2nd grade Teacher
Dori has a BA degree in elementary education from Calvin College and an MA in education with a focus on curriculum and instruction from Spring Arbor University. Ebenezer has always had a special spot in her heart. She is an alumna herself who decided to return to college to earn her teaching degree while volunteering as a PE teacher at Ebenezer during a winter when she was laid off from her truck driving job. She taught for 18 years at Otsego Christian School in Gaylord and also has several years experience as a substitute teacher before coming "home" to Ebenezer. She loves to use her creativity to reach each student in a way that student can learn. When not teaching, she takes care of her mother and helps out at her church by running sound, keeping up the website, and typing the bulletin.

Pamela Bekkering
6th - 8th Grade Teacher
Pamela has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education. She considers herself a lifelong learner and hopes to foster that same love of learning in each of her students. Pamela fell in love with working in education when she first became a “room helper” for her oldest daughter’s 3rd grade classroom. She was hooked! During her 20 years of working in school systems she has been a special education paraprofessional, a library paraprofessional, a one-on-one autism paraprofessional, a public library assistant, a Christian Education Director, a special education teacher, and most recently a 21st Century Site Coordinator. Her main goal when teaching is to assist children in discovering their full potential.
She and her husband live in Central Lake, sharing their home with a dog, Cleo and a cat who answers to Kitty (when he feels like it). God has blessed them with two beautiful daughters.
Pamela enjoys spending time with her family, cooking & baking, walking and reading.
My role at Ebenezer….
I have the great honor to be the teacher of the “Big Room” at Ebenezer Christian School in Ellsworth. I have an amazing group of eleven children ranging from 5th-7th grade. These children work so hard every day from start to finish. They are bright caring children who fill my day with laughter as we learn. We have quickly become a tight-knit little family. Their depth of faith is astounding.
